Intelligence Marketplace for startups, but why?

Updated: Jul 24, 2020

How inspired & amazed we felt after watching the movie "Pursuit of Happiness"? Many of us would have gotten goosebumps at different points in the movie, I would bet. There is this fantastic dopamine rush that we get after pulling a fantastic, life-saving, or life-changing feat which will always be an irreplaceable feeling. In an average lifetime, you can expect to get that sensation 2-4 times unless you are lucky enough to see more Ups & downs than most people. But sometimes overcoming challenges & opportunities could be less struggle some, better planned for success if we can make a few more smart decisions or a few less errors on the way. After all, there could be a better way to accomplish plenty of things that we do, provided we care enough about those goals. But, how exactly do we uncover that secret formula to do those impactful things more effectively?

This is exactly where Micro-Mentorship and Sharing wisdom make a significant difference. The philosophy is that there is always at least one person who has successfully navigated the same challenge or seized a similar opportunity more cleverly. Such mavericks often share their experiences & expertise with others as they are smart enough to understand that sharing & teaching is a great way to expand their own learning and see their vision grow. Somewhere in the heart they also want to see others do as well as they are far-sighted enough to understand that if more people start excelling in their job, the community, on the whole, become more productive and grows faster for the better. Even better feeling is that when we realize that we could be those mavericks for at least a few others who might benefit from our skills & experiences. How cool would it be to get recognition and satisfaction from seeing others grow Additionally, both the mentee and mentor are actually able to give each other candid & empathetic feedback to see each other grow further along with their expertise.

“Stars do not pull each other down to be more visible; they shine brighter.”Matshona Dhliwayo

But how easy is it right now to find such emphatic & resourceful mavericks who want us to win and how easily can we. At Headstrt, we feel being able to discover, connect and partner with mavericks, should not take more than 10 mins and this opportunity should be available to as many people in the world as we could aim for. It actually goes full circle: More users -> Bigger & more resourceful community > More choices > Much higher chance for finding great mavericks, so we see it not just as an opportunity but also as a responsibility to see our global & cross-functional community grow. We have opened up ourselves to start accepting Beta users, can't wait to see what we could achieve as one large community.
